Hi! This week I want to share a few Excel shortcuts that can increase your productivity dramatically. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you are working in Excel with a mouse, you are wrong. The right keyboard shortcuts will elevate your Excel Game. Let's get into it.
In my YouTube video this week, I talk about my baby. She never lets me down and keeps me firing on all cylinders daily. Here is the video:

The 15 Shortcuts
Ctrl + A
This will select all the contiguous data in your worksheet. However, if you press it repeatedly, it will select the entire worksheet.
Ctrl + T
I will not stop singing the praises of using special Excel tables. If you are not using them, you are the architect of your own suffering and mediocrity. Using CTRL + T will initiate the process of converting your range of data into a table format by opening a Create Table window. I wrote a whole article on how useful tables are here.
Alt H-O-A and Alt H-O-I
These shortcuts will autofit your data to your rows and columns respectfully, so you don't have to manually adjust the column and row width to view your data clearly.
Ctrl + 1
This opens the Format cells window where you can change the format of your cell entries. In this window, you can change the currency, the date format, make negative values appear red, create your own formatting, etc.
Ctrl + X - Cut values
Ctrl + C - Copy values
Ctrl + V - Paste values
Ctrl + Spacebar - select the entire column you are currently in
Shift + Spacebar - select the entire row you are currently in
Ctrl + - | delete the entire selected column or open the delete column menu.
Ctrl + B - bold
Ctrl + I - italicize
Ctrl + U - underline
Auto sum with Alt + =
If you want to sum up a range of contiguous (enjoying using this word today) numbers, click in the cell below the numbers and press Alt + = or (⌘ + Shift + T on a Mac). The sum of the range is calculated automatically.
Ctrl + Shift + L to add/remove filters to your range of data

Conclusion
Excel has over 300 useful keyboard shortcuts that can turn you into a DJ when mastered, but mastery comes with practice. However, the ones I have mentioned today are fundamental and you should start using them now. However, keyboard shortcuts are not limited to Excel:
First, select the link to this article by clicking Ctrl + L, copy it with Ctrl + C, and paste it into your social media channel of choice with Ctrl + V to share it with the world. Thereafter, like this post, leave a comment, and close the tab using Ctrl + W. Then open Excel and get started!
Have a great week!
